• Reading Support

During the school year, students will be working on vocabulary, reading fluency, and reading comprehension.  Students will learn how to apply the skills they have learned in order to participate in class discussions, improve their fluency while reading, and build confidence in their reading abilities.  Reading also allows them to learn new things to help them succeed in all academic areas  and relationships.  One of the most important reasons why reading is so important is that it helps people to develop their critical thinking skills.  Also, the skills taught will prepare them for post-high-school experiences, whether it be the working world or post-secondary education.
